So I assumed that for the V3 kit, there is no new and old version right?

I think the model number is 4TF218-114L.

The price is different on different website so I am not sure whether it has older&cheaper and newer&more expensive version or not.

Not that I am aware of. In the beginning there was a compressor change but I doubt any of those are still for sale new.

I'm having an issue with my setup making full boost. I only have the stock pulley installed but the car only makes 7.5psi at redline.

I have tbolt clamps on all the couplers. Ive clamped all the evap lines including the ones under the manifold. I checked all the lines going to my radium cans.

Any other advice before i take it to my work and use our smoke machine?

I'm assuming it's best to take the hot side loose and pressure check it from there?

It's definitely the proper sized belt. I replaced all the pulleys and belts when i installed the kit. Its a stock? Metal bypass valve for now. I did just pickup a turbosmart bov so ill try that later this week. I've used those diverter valves on vw's and never had sticking issues.

I was thinking an improper spring in the bpv. But doesn't sound like the case. How are you measuring boost?

Yeah i don't believe that's the case. I know it made 9psi at least initially when i installed the kit early this spring. I only noticed it wasn't making full boost when at the track this weekend. I'm just measuring it via OFT which uses a 2.5bar sensor.

I use the same setup and haven't seen an issue. I know some have had bad readings from mechanical gauges. I would pressure test the setup maybe a pipe/intercooler is cracked.

Made up a boost leak tester tonight with some random crap. Used a coupler, a plumbing cap and a fuel pressure gauge. Pulled a tire valve through the cap to pressurize it.

I don't think i have a leak...

The system leaks down from 12psi to 8psi in 50 seconds. It takes another solid minute to drop to 5. I assume that's normal leak down through the valves.

Any other ideas why the car won't make boost?

Will it be a problem to run V2 upgrade kit in cold winter here in New Jersey?

I am thinking to get the V2 but do not know whether there is any drawback of this upgrade kit? Is there any?

Is it a track car? I'm not quite sure why you are set on v2. The Normal kit can take a pretty heavy beating before overheating the oil.

Go to track day some time, but not frequently.

So the V2 upgrade is JUST a cooling kit for the supercharger itself?

I am thinking that if there is no drawback of this V2 kit (for example, the proper temp might not be reach during cold winter), why not spend a few hundred bucks on a upgrade for the future.
