Not today, but on Thursday I had a triple.

Leaving the parking deck after a medical appointment, the nice old lady (TM) parking attendant asked me what it was as I paid her, and then said she really likes my car.

At the end of the day, leaving my dojang after TaeKwonDo practice, a guy coming out of the bar across the street hollered and asked me what it was, adding that 4 or 5 people in the bar were wondering, but couldn't figure it out.

A few minutes later I stopped at the grocery store and got a, "That's a really nice car" from someone on his way out.

I had my first one and i haven't even gotten my car yet. A little while back I was deciding what "fun" car I wanted to get and one of the dealers in my area let me take a 2017 86 on an extended test drive.

I had parked it at Costco and when I got back to the car this guy was looking at it. When I unlocked it and started loading my stuff he comes over and starts asking all sorts of questions; what is it, where does it come from, how much power does it have, 0-60, ect... We ended up talking for almost 15 minutes until his wife got annoyed at him for taking too long. Apparently he didn't even know scion was history or that it was related to the BRZ. Really friendly guy and i heard him mutter to his wife that he likes it and wants one as they walked away.

We just hired a new receptionist at our company a few weeks ago, a couple years younger than I am. She's very cute. I got prime parking right next to the employee entrance, and the security camera caught me getting out of the car. To get to my desk I walk past the reception desk, and as soon as I walked past, she said "IS THAT YOUR CAR?!?! ITS BEAUTIFUL" followed by another 15 minutes of us flirting and being late to my morning meeting.

Went for a run at a nearby track the other day, and as I was walking back to my car parked on the street there was a man walking with his son who was in what I can only describe as a sort of upright pedal-powered wheelchair, never seen a thing like it before. The father was holding on to a handle on the back of it and rolling it along while his son (maybe around 4 years old if I had to guess) sat in it with his feet on the pedals, I imagine so his legs would get some motion and work put into them while they went for their walk.

Anyway, this kid's eyes lit up at the sight of my car, and he was just wide-eyed staring at it as long as he could while they walked by, turning his head until he just couldn't see it anymore. I left in the same direction they were walking, so as I went by he got a wide-eyed stare going all over again. I think we can count that as a "Sweet Ride, bro" encounter. It really made my day, and hopefully I made his. Reminded me of that feeling as a kid seeing some amazing (or at least amazing-looking) car and dreaming about owning one.

Had the car up on jack stands in the driveway yesterday swapping the brake pads for the track today.

A guy in an older Fiat convertible stops and starts asking me about the car, how do I like it, etc. He says it looks awesome and wants to get one.

Just don't marry your "very cute" company receptionist. (and don't ask me how I know...)

Not specifically a "Sweet ride bro" encounter but I was in slow traffic and I guess a couple in the next lane wanted to know what my car was (I have 86 badges), so the girl hangs her head out of the window as they're rolling by, to see what the badge says at the front. And as the front of my car rolled into view and she saw the 86 badge, her facial expression changed from curiosity to confusion in a very animated way, and the transformation was hilarious. Kinda like when dogs lean their heads to the side

On the way out of my neighborhood and a bunch of kids are out in the street playing. As I dove by and they all moved to the grass, one of them that was maybe
10 yrs old says "nice Scion" as I drive by. I was impressed that he even knew what it was. That's a future car guy right there.

Don't even date her; that's worse than playing with fire - it's playing with fire and thermite at the same time.

The car is getting way too much attention lol. Cars pull up and the drivers crane their necks. One guy today on the highway, in the left lane (!) matched my speed and I noticed a little while later he's staring and not even looking ahead at the road. Then he moves up a bit, trying to see what the badge at the front says (86). Obviously he'd never figure it out so he kept turning. Also an italian lady comes up and gives me the "nice" sign and then shes like byuuutiful car, what kind of car is it? I'm like it's a toyota. She's like it's a sports one right? Byuuuuutiful car, enjoy it lol. Happens on almost every drive now
