Had some younger dude in a pickup truck pass me, I passed him, then he paced right behind me in the other lane for a minute or two and eventually crept up gave a thumbs up then drove off.

Did a quick stop at the grocery store on the way home a couple days ago and I'm at the self-checkout and a guy comes up to me and asks if the blue FRS is mine.

I say "Yep" and a sweet ride conversation ensues.

Was making a pitstop at a Burger King on the way to New Hampshire last weekend and parked next to a modded bug-eye wrx wagon.

While the wife was inside I was checking tire pressures and the flat brimmed dude in the wrx smirked at me, nodded and said "cool car". I returned the smirk, nodded and said "you too".

Annnnnnd SCENE. Not another word.

Drove by a cottage town with many people fishing/boating/picnic stuff and broke a few necks. As I parked a couple kids running around and playing came up and asked about the "cool car". Most of my encounters are kids and guys asking about the car, and women don't general ask they just stare and smirk unless they are relatives.

stuck in dead traffic and a little boy rolls down his window and tells me that he likes my car. Our engineer at work walked all the way to my car from across the lot to check out my car. He didn't know I was watching him atm.

Was driving on the interstate with the wifey and a nice black Charger pulled up next to me. I looked over and the guy holds up a camera and mouths, "may I take a picture?" We both smile and nod so he guns it ahead of us, moves from the left lane to the far right lane (I was in the middle) and leans out the window and starts snapping photos.

First time that's ever happened. He must've thought it was something exotic.

Day after I got the car, I took a road trip to NY. Pulled up to a toll booth and rolled down the window - guy had a huge grin on his face and said "is it a stick?! Man, there's nothin like a stick."

Came out of Home Depot today and was walking across the parking lot to my car. I see a little boy (about 3-4 yo, Hispanic) excitedly pointing at my car and pulling his mom's arm in that direction. It was a little awkward when I walk up to the car to unlock the door and the mom sees me. She smiles and says something in Spanish while yanking the boy away. I have no idea what she said so I just try to smile and nod respectfully. Later as I'm exiting the parking lot I see them walking down the sidewalk so I do a small 1-2 pull for the boy.

Neighbor got a new BRZ (his last was totaled shortly after getting it) and stopped by to chat. I let him take it for a spin and he couldn't get enough of it!

Had a grey FRS drive alongside my grey BRZ briefly before going separate ways, we threw each other a thumbs up.

I've had some "spirited" driving sessions with a stage II tuned STI and "driver mod" probably needed, he couldn't keep up with me.

This with me on E85. 200whp in these cars makes quite a bit of difference.
