probably wasn't getting any from his wife ...so a serious case of blue balls most likely

I get a lot of heads turning to look at my car. It'll probably be more prominent after I install my N1 exhaust lol

But one time a guy in his 50's pulled up beside me and told me my car was beautiful and that he was looking to buy a car for his 25 year old son. Cruised along each other for a while and we eventually split. He was driving a sweet Jag.

All my friends talk shit about my car though cuz they driving shitboxes still.

Almost every time I fill up I have a conversation with someone else filling up about the BRZ. Typically, the conversations are comparisons of the twins OR questions about its specs. Nice to see people are still curious about the car.

On the highway I passed a biker, he sped up to check out the car and gave me a thumbs up. Aww yeah, Harley cred lol!
I'm finally realizing that when other cars rev at me going the opposite direction in town, they're just saying hi. I always get the shaka sign from a dude in a really clean red Civic. Thankfully I've got plenty of stuff to post here, nothing to post in "Come race me bro."

Had 2 small events happen recently. They may be small, but anytime someone compliments me and my car, I like to let it go straight to my head.

1. Just leaving after getting my haircut and I am in a small parking lot. It's a hot day so as soon as I'm in my car, windows were down. I start her up and let her idle for a moment before heading home. The guy parked next to me walks up to his car, looks down at me and says, "I like your setup". Who knows what he was referring to, but I like to think he meant my exhaust. Absolutely love my setup on a cold start - the Perrin reverberates so low and you can just feel it in your bones. Ecstacy

2. Late night driving through downtown Seattle. I am sitting at a stop light all alone with windows down (another hot night) when a blacked out car pulls up next to me. He had his windows down too, so all I hear as he's pulling up is "Dammnnnn dude, nice car!" I was caught off guard so I barely mustered a "thanks" before light was green and I was on my way.

Stopped off at the wooden boat shop in Port Townsend.
As I was getting out a guy said "Aren't you too old to be driving that?"
We yakked a bit about our old Alfas and how he's too tall for Miatas.
Said he's got a TT now, but he was driving an F-150 to teach sailing that day.

Was at a red light, telling friend in the car next to me about the OFT and LC. He said let's hear it. So I hit the pedal and let it bounce off the limiter, around 3.5k. then behind me I hear some engines revv, I look behind and there are 2 pickup trucks both with older guys smiling. Like we were all gonna race or something. We all had a good laugh, friendly waved then drove off like normal people.

Got one this weekend. I was pulling out of the farmers market, and the sound of the exhaust was reverberating off the buildings to either side. Makes a really nice rumble now. I stopped the car for a moment for my wife to check to make sure she didn't forget to get something (we just had one bag in the cabin with us). Sit there for a second and there was this jarring *THUD* from my door. I jumped out of my skin and whipped around to see who had just nailed my car and there's this little kid, maybe 6 or 7, standing there, hands on the open window, gawking in at us.

He goes, "I love your car, it's so cool!", and his father scoops him up and away from the car, shouting apologies. I made sure they knew it was okay, and even let the kid sit in the car and gun the gas. Future gear-head, right there. That moment reminded me why I got the car in the first place: to placate the inner child.

Nothing better for me.
