I haven't noticed any noise from the front, but the rears still make noise.

I noticed the locking rings can easily get loose so make sure you tighten them.

Yeah, this would be the first time i've had coilovers for the FRS. I love the ride and how the car is more responsive to steering input, but the noise on low speeds kinda bother me. I've asked a couple of people about it and they said its normal. I'll be changing out my front and rear tophats soon, will redo the install and see if the noise is still present - if they still are, i'll just get used to it or buy a new set and sell they R2's for hella cheap.

I will check on this. I did the install with a friend and myself. I'll have a shop reinstall these and see if the noise is still present.

I no longer have a dog in this fight but I think that's a common excuse many subscribe to. I've had track oriented coilovers that make noise and other track oriented coilovers that do not. I've also had "street" coilovers make noise and some that don't. I'm of the opinion that it's in the engineering of the components. I've also had pillowball top hats that make noise over time but not out of the box.

In any event, as long as everyone is happy. That's really what matters! Some have different tolerances for what's acceptable and what's not I guess.

Just installed my updated R2. Just a few notes/concerns.

-At 1'' drop, the rear springs have no preload at full droop. The springs will just wiggle around. This probably isn't a big issue daily driving, but I'm not sure what will happen at the track if the rear wheel lifts and there's no load on the springs.
-At 1'' drop, the fronts are basically are on the last thread. I can't see this going lower than 1.25''.
-I'm not so sure if the update actually improved the ride quality, lol.

Nah, I'm on 500/600 springs.

I think I'm more concerned about the rears having no load when it's at full droop.

That's what a helper spring is for.

Eibach removed the helpers to reduce noises as part of the update.

That doesn't really make sense to me, but if it works then it works.

When I received my reworked set removing the helper did not solve the noise issue. I think it may have helped quiet it down a bit but it was not something very noticeable. I just couldn't take it anymore so I bit the bullet and sold mine salvaging whatever value out of them I could.

I would have preferred to keep the helper so at full droop the spring is still located on the top hat and perch properly but instead the solution was to insert an internal spacer to limit droop travel. Yet at full droop at a conservative 25mm drop the spring was still dancing around in there loose

So yes, it doesn't make sense to me too...

I have installed the latest version of the R1 and the clunking in the front/rear is very annoying. Also seems the front end is very bouncy and yes I have played around with the rebound and the car is not riding on the bumpstops. The endlinks are secure and nothing else suspension wise has been changed. The rear is a set at a very moderate height maybe 1'' lower and it looks like I have a 1.5'' of travel before I hit the bumpstop-is this OK?

I have only ever run KW V3 or RCE T2 in any of my Subarus with Vorshlag/GTWorx camber plates and never had an issue with noise or driveability.

Hopefully Eibach can figure out the problems.
