Based on the way the wing is angled an the concave shape, I would assume that the flow over the top of the wing separates at the leading edge and therefore generates almost no force on the top surface.

yeah it wouldn't create lift the way an airplane wing does, instead it would create a massive amount of drag. this equates to putting a large airbrake on the back of your car.
