The color white is the current fad. Fads come and go. I own a white car and love it. But it seems to be lacking something ..... like ..... color.

The first time I saw a whitout 86 in person, I was blown away. It isn't the white, its that it is pearl. Looks good on lambos, looks good on our cars, looks good on everything really.

That's because car companies are now stuck using water based paint, which is complete garbage. Your Camry's paint has lead in it and that's why it is actually tough.

Camry paint has never had lead in it. It had a pile of VOCs in it though.

The water based paints are not the issue. It is the outdated application systems that are used to apply them at the factory that are the problem. The manufacturers were forced to reduce the compounds in the paint faster than the application technology could be developed too apply it properly. The companies are slowly updating their equipment so that the new paints can be applied properly and be just as good as the old lacquer based. Oddly enough Ford is actually the leader in this with Toyota not far behind. I have no idea where Subaru stands though since they were never included in any of the trade journals I read ever mention them. It will take some time for everybody to get up to speed with the processes since it is very expensive.

Mine is Whiteout. I was never crazy about the color. All of my new cars are white, but I mean WHITE. Non-metalic white. I hate red and blue and the metalic dark orange just didn't cut it. So, whiteout it was.

If I could have chosen any color, it would have been the Mopar Orange, non-metalic. Second choice would be bright yellow.

The color choice on this car really sucked in 2013. I doubt it's any better.

White seems good for temperature and looks clean. And clean is one of those "jdm camber squad 420 harambe" things all these kids are doing these days. I honestly wanted red, but i also wanted to avoid attention, so i went with black. But red, especially with a carbon fiber hood, looks sick af.

White is just sharp on little tiny sports cars. On mustangs and camaros not so much
and Whiteout is a beautiful color that glimmers, goes flat and changes hues. HOWEVER, if you go to get it fixed at the body shop from an accident or such, its very hard to blend. I had to have mine done twice, but Whiteout, wow what a color

I've mentioned it before, but I absolutely hate white on cars. Makes pretty much every car look like a work vehicle.

I've only seen a few white cars that I actually liked, but they always have black accents, like the wheels, lights, and trim. It's kind of like people raving about how they love their hardwood floors and then cover most of it up with an area rug.
