A buddy is involved in social media for a new brewery opening in town. Finally got to try some of their brews as they are still working on their location being finished so just serving at select local events right now. Scotch Ale was amazing. If any of you guys venture to Stockton, CA once they are open in the next few months first round is on me.

Brewed my own beer yesterday. My sister got me a homebrew kit for Christmas. I'm hoping it turns out alright, but it will most likely be crap haha

All I really want is I want it to look like beer, and fizz like beer. If I open a bottle and pour it in a glass and it's the right color with good head on it, then I don't care if it tastes like piss. I want to know that I've done it relatively right above all else. If it comes out flat or milky I'll be pretty disheartened, but as you said, gotta start somewhere.

My homebrew is... drinkable. I did not die. It tasted like beer. Definitely better than I thought it would.

Blue moon. Decent every day drinker. Would you guys drink a nitro as a daily beer or a weekend kind of 'on occasion'?

Glad I found this thread.
Pretty much anything from Bottle Logic is great. Their barrel program is insane. They have some wizards working there for sure. Just picked up some Ground State and Reaction State this morning during the online sale. Very happy about that. |

I work in the motorcycle industry and went to a party/show called Garage Brewed at the Rhinegeist Brewery in Cincinnati. Cool place, good beer.
Very close to my house is a new, tiny, micor-brewery called Hoof Hearted (say it, must have been named by a 12 year old) It is so small a mobile canning truck has to visit them, because they have no means to do it themselves. The artwork on the cans looks like Beavis and butthead did it, but locals rave about it. |

I only found it once outside of the brewery in Ireland, it is Guinness West Indies Porter. It was the best bottled beer I have ever had in my few few months of drinking.

Got a mixed 12 pack of Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig today. Not bad for $66.
