As nice as the Wii U is, a pre-holiday launch means it's going to be out of stock for awhile. I still want to get a Wii though, especially since they're dropping Gamecube support with the new console. Then I can wait and get the Wii U whenever.

Sleeping Dogs is the HK GTA style sandbox game from Square Enix. I pre-ordered that. I fucking love Hong Kong and am excited to traverse it's streets digitally and see how close they mapped some of the places I visit when I'm there.

You can't pre-order Watch Dogs yet since no-one knows what hardware it's going to be on. Judging by how awesome the demo looks (it was running on a PC BTW, UBI confirmed that via Twitter) everyone is speculating launch title for the next generation of HW.

I want both of the Dogs games.

So...

1) The Zombi U demos were all fakes. They were CGI renders. Even the god damn hands using the remote were CGI. It's still a concept at this point. Which is rather disappointing.

2) The Wii U Remote Screen Controller thing takes 2.5 hours to charge and lasts for 3-5 hours of usage. Internal battery, non-user replaceable.

This all sums up to me waiting on this one. I bought a Wii on day 1. Camped out and everything. Wii U won't get the same love. There were only 2 titles that really made me want it. Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends, but it's not enough to justify a whole new console.

Pikmin is a GREAT example of RTS as you mentioned above. The demo really showcased how strategic you can be, and also makes me want to slap Android and iOS devs in the face. I've been dying for a good strategy game like that on tablets for a while now. Everyone insists on turn based. I want some real time!

I was more interested in how Zombi-U functions as a concept. Making it a solid title based on what was offered. Regardless if its real or CGI.

Your right though about the Wii-U there is still not enough developer support for this platform. And Nintendo is failing to get publishers on board.

Already they are promising launch titles that NOBODY really cares about for that platform. Which is really going to bite them in the ass. Such as;

Batman Arkham Asylum
Mass Effect 3
Assassins Creed 3
Paper Mario???

Where is Starfox? where is Zelda? Where is Square-Enix? Which Kingdom Hearts Titles could benefit from using 2nd screen gameplay.

Sleeping Dogs looks like it's a HK action movie, but in game form. I'm excited and hope they get it right. I've pre-ordered so we shall see. The last game I blindly pre-ordered a game from a dev I was unsure of without finding out if it was going to be good was "Fist of the Northstar: Ken's Rage" but that didn't need to be good. Ken just needed to shout "YATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA" as he punched people, and then they needed to explode. This happened. I was content with my purchase.

Yeah I'm floored that they are touting games that everyone can already get on other platforms. By the time those games are out, they'll be old news. I don't think the developers will see a good return on profit for that investment, which will hurt them staying on board.
