This is probably sacrilege to say around here, but I'd rather have the FRS over an old Corolla GTS. It's a new car, with everything you would expect from a new car. It comes with a factory warranty and you don't have to bid on replacement parts off ebay.

I understand the feeling of being attached to a car, but you might want to do some real soul-searching to figure out if you're attached to the car, or the IDEA of the car.
If you're the kind of person who will just let the car sit and rot on non-op, then by all means, let it go to someone who will love it.
If you're planning on driving it again someday or showing it, keep it, AND get an FR-S.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm still gonna drive the corolla for a bit longer until I can find a serious buyer for it. And definitely gonna pick up an FRS.
