The hose he ,Lexusb3, is talking about is for the evap system. It attaches from the evap solenoid to the intake manifold.

It comes from the fuel vapor vent line, not the throttle body. The only hoses on the throttle body are coolant hoses. My advice to anyone that wants to step their game up and run big boost is to take the time and pull the intake manifold off and put real hose clamps on the three hoses. I did it in under an hour one night many months ago.

Did you replace the IM gaskets?

I'm thinking of doing it this Friday. Any tips on it?

Shouldn't need to on these cars by looking at the material used. May not be a bad idea though.

I would say if you have 40-50k miles, i probably would then

Nah. They are just orange rubber O ring type gaskets, much nicer than all the other ealier Subaru motors I have worked on with TGVs and paper gaskets you have to scrape off. No real tips needed. I removed mine with the port fuel rails and port fuel injectors left on the manifold, so I had to disconnect the fuel lines on both sides. I also left the throttle body attached. Then the only issue to getting the manifold off is disconnecting the hoses from the fuel vapor vent solenoid underneath.

Ok, sounds like the approach I want to take. I thought the gaskets were paper, good to know they are not. I need to get that fuel line disconnect tool. Thanks!

2:30? I'd expect lower than that with this kinda power! Jon Miller ran a 2:31 with just an e85 tune, A6's and BC racing coilovers in his FRS

I hadn't seen that Jon ran that time. I was just trying to give him a reasonable time to shoot for. Jon is the reason I am running BC Coilovers on my car. My fastest is a 2:43.7 in my SpecE30 with 155 hp and 2700 lbs.
