I bet if you pressed down on the edges while peeling the tape away would help. Or maybe even lightly cutting across the tape line. I wouldn't do that one, because I wouldn't trust myself to not fuck up the paint.

I will have clear bra on mine too. Do you think the plasti dip won't stay on? Or what? I wanna do this and not pay $350 just for the JDM bumper garnish.

Im doing this when it gets warmer out. Ill post some pics how I did it. Plasti dip has many videos on youtube, just do a search. They are very good, tells you how to do perfect lines. You spay it on heavy on the edges, then pull your tape when its still wet. They also plasti dip entire high end cars, lambos, GTRs, etc. No need to worry about hurting the finish. Hope this helps.

I gave it about 4-5 coats total. Just let it sit there for about 20-30mins and get a razor blade (brand new recommended) VERY VERY lightly start slicing along the masked cut off line. Don't be dumb slicing it with a full pressure where you're going to hurt the paint. A very little amount of pressure will rip the plasti dip right off

Finally did mine, pulled tape off while it was still wet. No worries about your paint and a razor blade! First time Ive used this, was worried about the finished look while it was drying. Turns out great, dont second guess it.

Thanks guys. It turned out amazing. I started with one full light coat, did a second just in the middle, then a heavy 3rd coat and pulled the tape lines off right away. Got one hardly noticeable run under the front edge. Nobody would ever notice. I'll post a close-up of the edge when I get on the laptop.
