Sorry, I'm a newb with wheels. I'm not sure I want to lower my car (mostly because of in/declines of my daily drive and frequented neighborhoods). Would I be able to fit these tires with no issues (rub, etc) on stock springs?

I understand the terms like camber, etc. but I don't know when it applies. Is it only when getting really big wheels and lowering?
I have this set up on stock springs. The rpf1 17x9 +45 with 245/40/17 Bridgestone potenza re11s

No rub, nothing? And pretty clean look? Better yet, can you post some pics?

Without camber they will poke a little and you can't dial in any negative camber as the tyre is too close to the std strut. But they effectively just fit.

Camber is the wheel axis angle relative to the ground right? Would 17x8 or 17x8.5's with less than +45 offset be better?

Man. That looks great. And there's no rubbing, it just looks super close? Do you recommend a +38 if they make them?

The only +38 I ever saw in RPF1's were a limited run of 17x8.5's and they list them but have none on the market I know of except that limited run.

I have 17x9 +35 and it will rub up front unless you get some negative camber (I am running coilovers with camber plates so it fits just right). In rear the 17x9 +35 fit flush already on 245/40/17 all around.

@chuchutrain

A 17x9 +45 won't rub except on a full lock as I mentioned above. A +35 would be like adding a 10mm spacer to a +45 which is what my car has on it in the photos on the earlier posts. +35's would be pushed out toward the fenders. The photos where the car is in the garage not in the driveway shows what I'm talking about. I have no idea about the 8 inch wide wheels...

yes, one way of putting it..

they only come in 17x8+45 not 8.5,
this would be the best size if you are not modifying suspension at all.
you could go 17x8 +35 if you want to add a little front camber, it will both be more functional and look like it fits better.

So I'm assuming your wheels were special ordered then? I can't find 18x9 or 17x9 for the RPF1s anywhere
