Kenwood's got a nice unit that fits the 86 perfectly but you need to buy the nav module separately and it's expensive.

I had a look around, and one thing that really bothers me about the Parrot units is that they seem to cancel out the CD player... call me old fashioned, but occasionally, I like listening to CDs (often because the music on the memory stick gets old, and I CBA to put new music on there at 6AM on the way to work, so I grab a CD from the rack).
As such, I think I will go for a smaller Parrot Hands Free unit (the Neo looks good) for the sake of having decent hands free while driving, and then upgrading the radio as and when needed. As I said - I don't need nav at all. |

you could hook up an old ipod to the parrot and at 160 gig, these things can hold most people's music collections. Maybe time to convert all those CDs to mp3?

Yep, or just plug in a 1TB 2.5" drive which should be able to hold enough music to last a lifetime.
![]() I've not found a format the Parrot couldn't play so if quality is a concern, rip all your CDs lossless.

The big harddrive is of course an option that didn't even occur to me (thanks to my Fiat only taking 4GB at a time)... worth investigating. With the right packaging, the vibrations shouldn't be a huge issue either.

What are your guys thoughts on Pioneer's HUs? They seem like decent units (on paper at least) and AppRadio would just be an added bonus. Are kenwoods units better.
Im looking at the lower budget units

I had a Kenwood in my car. Nice unit, was just too basic for my needs.
JVC's also got an App radio sort of thing and it's pretty cheap too.
