bite has a big difference compared to stock and the other brake pad i've tried, when braking at the track at my normal spots, i have a couple of meters left than usual.. only issue is that it tends to fade after 2-3 laps of hard braking

after 2 light trackdays, i gave up on them and sold it to a friend for a cheap price like less than $100 for a set (front and back) and he did feel also the brake fade and used a diff set

Mine don't squeak, but they do make a scrubbing noise of rotor being sanded off with every stop. I replaced my stock rotors with Stoptech Sportstop drilled rotors from Tire Rack because grooved rotors eat the pad quicker then drilled rotors and they allow cooling airflow through the rotor in addition to braking better than stock, plain, rotors. They also look much cooler than grooved or plain rotors. I probably have about 20% more braking power than the same pads on stock rotors. I have an AT, so I won't be seeing the track anytime soon, but these work as a great street pad for me. I can live with the dust since my wheels are mostly black anyway. It's worth it to have brakes that work so much better than stock. I don't know how you people can go back to stock pads after using racing pads. There's just no comparison.
This, so so much.

I was coming from Stoptech pads which had better hot bite, but faded noticeably and eventually smeared on the rotors.

It's not an issue tracking with these once I got used to them, but I was hoping they'd be more effective. I'll probably go a different direction once these pad are done.

Oddly I love them on the street. Great cold bite - they'll quickly engage ABS with minimal effort.
I should probably update my review of these pads. After just 4 track days, my pads were worn nearly to the backing plates. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend these pads to anyone who tracks regularly. As street pads though, they are solid.

I've since switched to a dedicated track pad and they are wearing much better. If you track frequently, I'd skip these pads and go with something designed for track use.

How do you turn OFF the ABS of BRZ/FRS? Doing the pedal dance will turn off the ABS of this car?

I hope he means threshold braking. Disabling ABS can mean locked wheels if you're over-zealous. You'll have some nice, new flat spots on your tires to go with your bedded brakes.

EDIT: To clarify, I don't mean that turning off your ABS is always a bad idea. I just don't think it's necessary for brake bedding. Good threshold braking has been sufficient on every car that I've bedded brakes on. There's sometimes a thin margin before lock-up, past where the ABS would usually engage, but it's a very small margin, if at all, so I don't ever bother to disable the ABS to bed brakes.

You have to pull the fuse to disable ABS.

The Pedal Dance does not turn off ABS.

Sorry to bump an old thread but what is the proper breaking in process for these? Bought a set someone had BNIB. Also are you guys running them without a backing plate?
I have almost the same setup as the OP except running the DBA T2 on all 4 corners
