We have a slight addiction to actually testing the products we sell; we say it how it is, and try our best to recommend products that actually suit our client's needs. Thanks for the shoutout!

I am looking at a set of these vs. the Ferodo DS2500s as the price is very similar and both are a hybrid pad. I assume these pads would hold better to any kind of track duty as compared to the Ferodos?

Thanks,

It's mostly a preference thing. We carry both

I happen to prefer the HC+800 over the DS2500; it's got a higher temp range and slightly more hot bite (but less cold bite).

After about 1000-1200 miles on these pads and three track days, they have started to squeak during road use. Not as drastic as pads like the Carbotechs, but definitely noticeable. Pretty sure I had them bed in correctly as well.

Still, a great pad... I do think I will be purchasing a set of dedicated pads, since I found them so easy to install.

CSG Mike --

Would you happen to suggest swapping rotors if I decide to use Club Racers for track days? I am not the most knowledgeable in compounds.

Swapping rotors is *ideal*.

Do I do that on my own car?... No.

Just keep in mind that immediately after u swap rotors, the brakes wont be performing optimally (for the first on-track session), since the transfer layer will be different on the rotor from the pad compound. I won't really matter for street driving.

Just wanted to give an update to everyone. After about 1,500 miles or so, the brakes do squeak noticeably louder and develop more brake dust. Does it bother me enough to take them out for street driving? No, not really. I still think these pads are far superior for street driving to the OEM pads, and will most likely be putting in some Club Racers for more serious track day usage. Now if only Subaru/Toyota would solve the damn DI issue, I'd be out testing more!

Mike, do you guys have HC+800 front and rear pads in stock?

They are. Properly bedded, they'll pass the girl test. They're a bit on the harder side to bed if you're a novice, but an experienced driver should be able to bed the Club Racer without issue.
