Just burned a full gallon of gas probably (and the clutch probably) practicing starts. Almost got it, can start reasonably quickly with <1000rpm 90% of the time, and can do a smooth "jackrabbit" start with about 1400rpm perhaps 75% of the time. With 1750rpm I can do a smooth start 100% of the time, even if I am doing a quick start (a lot of acceleration for say, a hill). Memorized the throttle position that brings the engine to about 2500rpm in neutral, which seems to be sufficient for holding the rpms up for a normal start.
I feel pretty good A little more work and I'll be able to drive girls around without complaints about a shitty ride and carsickness. Actually no, my rev matches still suck and need work :/

@M-17
I'm tempted to order some NikeID soccer cleats... I've try out CTR360 Trequartista III FG, Mercrurail Vapor III FG & Tempo Mystic IV. Anyways, you're more Nike expert than me, it doesn't have to be lightest cleats, which is for more for power kicker and accurate passing cleats? If I gonna spent $160~$200, I wanna get custom & good cleats to fit for my needs |

I was going to post this in a different thread, but didn't want to threadjack (thread discussing nissan 'competitor" to the FRS), so I'll dump this in here:
I think all this Electric-car mania isn't really going to catch on here in the US. At least not until they can build an electric car with a ~300 mile range and nearly instant recharge. Electric cars are okay for big city commutes where the whole purpose is to drive a little car a short distance then park it, then drive a short distance home. The problem becomes that the US has some HUGE distances between places and driving 100 miles then having to stop for 8-12 hours to wait for a car to recharge isn't going to cut it. We lack the infrastructure for cheap transcontinental travel: increasing air travel won't help the fuel pollution at all, the US railway system isn't really set-up for passenger travel, and with so much cargo in this country traveling by semi-trailer, there's just too much standing in the way of a full scale adoption of electric vehicles. Thoughts? |

I'm trying to build my own custom Air Box. First out of cardboard, then fiberglassed over. This seemed like a synch on paper, but just trying to get it to fit with the hood down is a herculean task, and i'm only about an hour and a half in. *sigh* I need help!

Got my bimmer running! Bought a new fuel pump, but turns out the hose connected to the old pump ripped, and the pump itself is fully functional. So I reconnected the fuel line and walla! She runs like hell.
Im so happy lol |
