Looks pretty nice, but I was always puzzled by how they seem to market it with mild sporting intentions (at least that's what I get from watching the ads), when it's got a Prius drivetrain and more weight.

So this what I did with my cashier's check (Post #4790). My family has been talking about getting my father a new car since his current car has been giving him issues. He's very stubborn and doesn't like it when people give him stuff for free. (His mantra "Go Earn Your Keep".) Anyways he's been joking about getting himself a new Honda Pilot so on Wednesday when I went to help my cousin get her car I saw a Pearl White Pilot sitting on the lot and went to fill out the paperwork. Picked it up on Friday and had it professionally detailed this morning.

And 2 hours ago I dropped it off to my parents house and my father was happy as **** his son got him a new car, especially a fully loaded model. He told me because I bought him a new vehicle he is gonna pay for my BRZ. I told him no it's okay I'll pay for it myself because I earned it. In my mind this is just a small gift to a father who give me the values to become the man that I am today. I mean I can take care of myself, have a career where I can live comfortably in one of the most expensive cities in the US and all the while have fun at an early age while everyone else around me is putting in the same amount of work without the same return as I am getting.

TL;DR
1. Use my cashier's check to buy my father a Top of the Line Honda Pilot
2. Father happy as **** but also stubborn that he got it for free without earning it.
3. Son paying a little back to his father for all the values that he instilled into him to become that man he is today.

Here is the car at my aunt's house when I picked it up on Friday:

Oh man. My mom has a beige 2005 EX, which I find too big already (drinks gas like a champ too), but the new Pilots are even bigger! Glad your dad loves the car though.

its a matter of time. if you really cant get that feathering of the gas fast enough, you should try double clutching. it used to be cool when old cars has junky synchros but the extra tenth of a second is going to let the rpms drop
