Day 3 of the new job, not so bad. Pretty laid back, I was able to help people in the office as problems arose switching the old machines with the new ones. Had a bit of a mix up on one user due to communication error but nothing super bad. Everything I did yesterday turned out to be just right and my co worker was able to pick up where I left off no problem. Also the boss of the company had asked me to set up a new printer and add it to the network which I had no prior experience of doing. Just used my common knowledge, and everything turned out ok. Still kinda nervous for the future once im own the week after next, but i'll try and stay strong.

And congrats on the schooling whats your major? Id say certs are definitely the best routes to go if there of any significance in the IT field. A+ is kinda meh,and apple certifications are gold. Id say just learn as much as you can, and learn from anyone that can teach you anything. IT is trade, and not everyone can do anything. Everyone has their own specialty, I try to learn what I can from most of every genre of IT because you'll never know when you'll need it and i love computers. Most of my experience comes from personal life and a couple previous jobs. You'd be surprised though what little you need on your resume to get noticed however, if you know what your talking about and are confident about what you say.. people will pay attention to you. My co worker is 21 years old and is the project manager/ main IT network developer and he has no prior education. Currently I have my ACMT cert, and working on my ACTC/ACSP certs, then I will probably move onto networking certs. |

I also didn't realize the the only competitive race is Round 8 Stage 5. If you make top 32 in that, then you qualify or the academy. I had been retrying every single race, trying to get faster times lol. My closest is in Round 2 which is 0.3 seconds away from first, but that puts me at 9,xxx place... This is when I wish I had a Racing Wheel!!!

When I look at the leaderboards, almost everyone is using a Sequential Shifter Racing Wheel. So it must be useful for getting better times!

Maybe idk, I'm just not used to using the wheel. I tried & time myself and regular controller gave me better time

Highly doubt it... Last time I ran in that academy event, I got up to top 5,000 & that's all I could get to. My GT5 teammates got up to top 100, but that's different story. He's just put ridiculous amount of time in GT5
