By that time there's usually something better though. I'll wait for 4K to become much more commonplace before spending the money on it. 4K sources are still pretty limited or expensive.

The gimmick I love right now is the curved TVs. Any TV is too small to benefit from a curve; it's just a reason to charge more. And they're all "Movie screens are curved, so get the movie experience with us!!" Movie screens are also 30+ feet wide, at least. They're also projection systems.
If you're running a 135" projection screen or a 120" at less than optimal viewing distance, then sure. There's some benefit. But the salesmen would love to convince you that it's the hot new thing for your 60" TV so they can get their commission. |

LOL! What'd ya expect? xD
My coworker told me that most of the time when buying a new car, people are covered by their insurance for the first 30 days if they are planning to transfer over the plan to new car. He did tell me to call them up to make sure though. Hopefully, they say yes. I will be a happy camper and taking the car to the beach! |

That's pretty standard practice as long as you have coverage now, but certainly worth checking.

OK. so I worked in this business at one time. Electronics have model years just like cars, so what BB and other electronics outlets try to do is to get rid of their old inventory as they head into summer before the new models start arriving in the fall, just ahead of the holiday season. Old, unsold inventory represents tied-up capital, so they start cutting the price towards the summer. Bear in mind that if you like this set at this price, probably so do a lot of other people. If you truly want it and find the price attractive, buy it now. If you wait for a while, it will be gone and you will have to buy next year's model at next year's price, which will be higher at first. Then the cycle repeats itself. Kind of like The Lion King. ![]() Added: 4K may not have much source material now, but it will still provide the best possible rendition of Blu-Ray and HD pictures. As material comes along, you can begin to add it to your library of video. Win-win.

Ok, I'm terribly sorry mods if this may break any forum rules, as its fairly NSFW, but I almost peed myself laughing.

I got rear ended when I was stopped at a light. This was one month into my ownership. Sigh. It still hurts.
