About half the people that work out on the production floor called in sick today...

Underneath, they are still wolves. So your pug is still a wolf deep down inside!
They've stretched those genes far, though.

Dogs (and wolves) have an incredible amount of genetic variation, 39 pairs of chromosomes, compared to humans with only 23 pairs.

The breeding of animals by humans for specific traits is called "artificial selection", compared to nature and "natural selection". Darwin studied artificial selection for domestic animals as part of the formation of his theory of evolution.

Dogs left to breed randomly in a wild state eventually come to look like Australian dingos, the classic "yellow dog".

I have my physics midterm & physiology finals tomorrow.

You engineers should pray to the physics Gods for me.

On another note, what kind of faculty thinks it's okay to put two cumulative finals on one day? The only way I could've gotten one differed is if I had 3 in a 24 hour span, or if I'm diagnosed with SARS or something.

Well, I may hate my job, but they've offered me a semi-promotion so at least I'll get out from underneath my prick of a boss. I hope they pay me a decent bit more too.

Bosses tend to be bigger and bigger pricks the higher up in the hierarchy you climb, though.
And there'll always be a boss above you.

However:

Big fleas have little fleas
Upon their backs to bite 'em
And little fleas have lesser fleas
And so on, ad infinitum.

So it works both ways.
