So I have setup a Laborghini Adventador that can out beat my gf's time lap over 5 secs (w ease)... BUT I've decided not to use it. Why? I'm a RWD driver (in GT5), I take on AWD powerful cars in my FR or MR cars & beating em!

Well back to square one... Need to figure some RWD car into 700hp grip Trial Mountain beast. Make it hard, I'm not planning to put GT spoiler on (that's my policy). LFA, 599, & MP4-12C sounds good

Article #2 does make some really good points, but I don't feel like life is quite as hard as he makes it sound. Yeah, I'm indebtasfuck as everyone else my age, which is all much more than our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were. (I was born in '85 and it was my great grandparents that went through the depression, unlike this 3-generation picture they're painting.) But also, I have a house, 2 cars, a 55" TV, a mountain of video games and consoles, a full photography studio, a 56' long bicycle ramp, and a magical device in my pocket that can access the entire collection of humanity's knowledge as well as show two girls eating shit out of a cup at 1280x720 resolution - any time I want, on demand!

I'm tens of thousands of dollars in debt, my retirement is growing at a ridiculously slow rate, the future is completely uncertain, and all evidence points towards nothing spectacular for me happening on its own. I'm at the young end of what most consider the ideal baby making age, but my biggest motivation for not creating one of those little things is dodging the financial responsibility. All that considered, I think my girlfriend and I are doing just fine. I am a bit guilty of the aggressive GYPSY ambitions, but not to the point of it being a fault... I don't think.

Maybe I think that because I'm so special...
I think the first article got me heated because my parents raised me basically opposite of what the article claims. "Gen Y were all raised this way", umm, no, not all of us. I can say that I know plenty of people that fit that first article perfectly, but I also know plenty of people that don't.

The bad guy. My goals and intentions are good but I frequently play the bad guy to help people do the right thing when they don't want to. They can hate me all they want, so long as they make the best decision.

You're solidly Gen Y. That's okay, we're not as bad as people say. It's also very diverse. The problem is that people want to generalize and it's impossible to find anything that binds this generation together.

I was raised differently than the article too. My parents were hard working middle class and very few things were given to me. Yet some of it still applies. I know the "special" problem unique to our generation and being motivated more by ideals and emotions. At the same time, I'm far more practical than my parents or my grandparents ever were. My parents and grandparents couldn't hold onto money for any length of time.

But then I get emotional over the tiniest details. Such as whether my car is RWD or has a manual transmission. My parents never cared about such things and both can drive stick.

I'm starting to seriously fear this....I work nonstop and go to school, there's never anytime for me ...forget about vacations.

I'm hoping tho once I get the frs Ill be motivated to make time to autox and track a few times during the year....you know, have fun.

I have too many goals...its insane....
I feel like I wasted so many years of my life in idle that now I have to seriously step up if I want a somewhat bright future.

Speaking of which....I really need to finish my chem work....and I was up at 3:30am to head to work this morning ....and now Im wasting time on the computer...fuck

Nah, I think having fun when you're a kid/teenager is overrated. There were less fun things to do back then, time was better spent working hard.

Damn, random thought's getting heavy...

I'm too young to give any input. Ask me when I'm a bitter jobless engineer in 3-7 years.

And I'm not sure if I'm Gen Y. I was born in 94, so I suppose I'm on the border.
