on most cars the 1/4 panel ...aka "rear fenders" are weilded to the chassis. There arn't many vehicles on the road (or ever built for that matter) with rear fender that can detach like the front fenders. Those those who have taken autobody, im sure you have been laughed at from instructors for calling 1/4 panels, "rear fenders". God knows I have.
