I did a quick search and found the brochures for both the 2013 and the 2017 Scion/Toyota. Unfortunately neither list top speed, I guess for some legalistic reason.

What I did find is that the 2013 was consistently listed in and around 145MPH but the 2017 was listed at 136MPH.

The 145 I cited was what used to be shown on the Scion Canada spec sheet that was similar to the BRZ one I posted.


The whole debate is sort of silly in my eyes anyway since once you are up to those speeds a difference of 4 or 5 MPH is just splitting hairs.


I may have inadvertently had mine up to 135 one time and I have little doubt that 140+ was doable but I was all ready getting nervous so backed off before finding out what the max was. The smallest bump in the road made it feel like I was reenacting a Dukes of Hazard episode.
