My point exactly. Even my old Fiat Uno could do 150. Easily. I didnt need some "functional aero" on it to keep it on the road.

You sure not 150mph? 150 kph can be done so easy almost every gasoline powered car on the street can do it since it's only like 95 mph.......that's like what ppl do everyday on US public highway. PS: even prius can do it easily.

Sorry all I haven't taken my own car any higher than 110kph being the inter city speed limit on our freeway's. I realise its probably perfectly stable a fair amount north of that, but perhaps its more a psychological thing having never really ventured into higher speed ranges.

When would people consider aero on our car outside of a race track then? I imagine other mods like simply lowering ride height would naturally improve stability. Actually now that I think more on its a far deeper topic than suitable for this thread >.>

You dont need to increase the stability at all. Spend all your money on track time and become more confident.

True! Its a DD so want to ride out the remaining factory warranty and then switch insurer prior to considering this, but you have a great point there.

180km last summer, works out to be 111MPH. Felt like the car was floating. I got a speeding ticket that day at 170km, cop let me off easy (could have gave me an excessive) in my defense I was following a guy going faster and felt like they targeted me just because of the car but it was stupid of me and I learned my lesson.

The BRZ optional splitter makes a difference. rock solid all the way to 190. Had to back off when I noticed the hood flexing at the wheel arches.

Quit trying to out think the engineers and just drive the car.

Watch the hood next time. It starts to lift at the wheel arches and oscillate.

My Uno couldn't, but it was the model with 0.9 L engine, so it topped at 135 or so. Still didn't need aero ;-)

Mine does that at 120KPH. If I go faster it just pins it's self against the latch and stay there.
