Love it, Feels like a lot more low end torque/power, around town drive-ability is so much better. top end... meh still feels slow compared to my last 2 cars (supercharged 350z and r33 skyline)
This video is actually only audio :-P http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps426ea536.mp4 also updated first post with youtube embedded Last edited by JesseE; 03-16-2013 at 10:25 PM. |

Doing some research... official product page here: http://www.borla.com/products/frs_br...rt__17284.html $652.64 directly from Borla!?! Can you tell us if you found somewhere with a better deal?

No tune, no check engine light yet... only been 7 miles... The o2 sensor basically is a 0-1 v graph, and rear o2 sensor should be fairly steady because of how the inside of the cat converter chemically reacts to the fuel air mixture of the exhaust, as the exhaust passes through the cat the cat reacts, gets very very hot from the reaction, and then once the air has gone through the cat it will have a very steady oxygen reading. Basically if your rear o2 sensor is a pretty constant voltage, the computer assumes cat is working great. but when the cat is removed, or stops working because it gets coated with crap, the rear oxygen sensor, goes up and down just like the front o2 sensor, and that's how the computer understands the cat has failed. So basically its just a matter of time when the computer see's constant rear oxygen sensor voltage jumping up and down and then decide when to set a code after a few trips of failure |

very easily actually, like ^ said you can get a tune and they can turn that stuff off, but other thing is you can get little o2 sensor extenders that make the o2 read off of a very small amount of exhaust gas and usually that will not set codes |

Have you noticed any performance degradation since the CEL popped up? I could live with a CEL as long as there are no issues. Not really wanting to get a tune if I don't have to.

There can be nothing bad about one... rear o2 sensor is only for monitoring cat... it will NOT affect performance in any way... front o2 sensor is what can affect performance... but that is not affected as its before where the cat would be anyway

I could be very wrong but I believe once the cel comes on the car goes into limp mode which dims down performance. I know on my car (genesis turbo) once the cel comes on it's in automatic limp mode which cuts off boost. I believe you will also run rich and get crappy mpg. I could be wrong though
