RC: 1.99 M Yen (about $25K) <--- what's an RC ?
G: 2.41 M Yen (about $31K) <--- what's a G

GT: 2.79M Yen (about $35K) -> This is roughly an FR-S mono spec equivalent
GT Limited: 2.97M Yen (about $37K)

just wondering what the difference could be between all of these....

I'm guessing the G is the "Low Spec" w/16" wheels, no leather steering wheel, black gauge face, two speaker audio system, etc. The RC would be stripped down with primer bumpers and steelies.

so if 2.25M yen = 19,600$USD, this means the GT (2.79M) would sell approx @ 24,300$USD, but as we all know, cars in japan are more expensive than in usa... so you could probably take 2-3k off easily... I'm saying 21K for FR-S in the states... 23,500$ in Canada

This is by no mean a scientific/marketing oriented calculation, but could be not so far from reality...
By using your math (Yen x .0087) the RC version (I'm guessing the one with steel wheels) if sold here would be a bit over 17k lol.

21K for this car is way too low. While the "conversion" price of 24,300k seems a little bit too high for the US market. $23,990 just sounds better.

There's no way (other than dealer markup) that the MSRP on the base Scion will be over 25k.

If these numbers include Japanese car tax, this translates to about 22,000 USD for the ''GT mono spec''. This would slot in well just above the TC. Japanese car tax should increase prices approx 40 percent, on top of this, Scion models in Japan are 1.1-1.3 times more expensive before tax than their American counterparts. So 2.79 million yen becomes 2 mill before tax, and 1.7 mil after the ''country factor''. 1.7 million yen then becomes about 22,000 USD. I think its safe to assume 21 - 23K starting price in America.

The good news is that pricing is starting to show up so we should know US pricing on the 9th. It would be interesting to know what each versions specs are.

You nailed it pretty much.

RC: striped down circuit use base model
- No A/C
- No LSD
- No leather wrapped steering wheel, no leather wrapped shift knob
- No radio, no speakers
- 16 inch steel wheels
- Some insulation materials stripped out
- Bumpers not painted with the body color

G: something between RC and GT
- With A/C
- Still No LSD
- Still No leather steering wheel, no leather wrapped shift knob
- No radio, but with 2 spekers
- 16 inch aluminum wheels
- Bumpers pained with the body color

GT-Limited: similarly equipped with the BRZ Limited, but no nav

I think the G models come with LSD in the manual tranny versions.
