Gah.... I hate the lyrics. I really hope their song writers stop using this sexual innuendo subliminal message like lyrics to try to get Asian groups to be popular.

We're not represented that way. ._.

I was never a fan of that new skool break dancing. I like the ol skool power moves and combos. Have you seen this Angelo Baligad aka Lil Demon?

lil demon is sick, but he's definitely not old skool, i mean he's a kid! and power moves and combos aren't old skool, unless you consider 90s old skool. air flares are definitely not old skool.

the real old skool

80's was the pinnacle but yeah I was talking more towards the 90's.

I remember break dancing with Rynan from Jabbawockeez when he was about Lil Demon's age. This was when they first moved up to Temecula in the 90's. We had a crew called "Delivery Boyz"!

How and when did your dancing career start?
When I was 11-years-old. I started breaking with my bros and my friends in Murrieta, CA.

i'm not saying what era was the pinnacle or not but generally when it comes to street dance and anything related to hip hop old skool is considered '74-86 or 88, and 90s until now is considered new skool. anything 90s and beyond in bboy history is considered the new skool era, although it's been so many years since the 90s that some bboys who started in the 90s might consider themselves "old skool" just because of their age. i'm a 90s bboy as well, i didn't know them but i remember seeing Jabbawockeez at sessions and events before they were famous also. makes me wonder what might have happened if i had practiced more instead of going to college out of state and starting a career.

Yeah, I could see how they would say that. I too start going into dancing in the 90's. First it was "freestyle" with the running man, roger rabbit, kid n play in elementary school, then grooving/housing (U.M.C-Blue Cheese-this was my jam back in the days ) then full on breakdancing by the time I was in 8th grade. This was around the time, it was evolving and the crowds responded the most to the combos. I wasn't that good but I used to do a thomas flair to a windmill then to a nutcracker then doubles. I couldn't do a 1990 or a headspin to save my life!

You make the right path by going to college and starting your. Once I got into h/s, I started playing sports while some of my close friends still danced.

Blue Cheese!!! <- memories

Yeah but my career don't pay a lot, and I still have 20k in student loans.. Naw but it was worth it, be makin even less flipping burgers. Freestyle, that brings back memories. That whole new jack swing era is considered the middle era of hip hop dance while housing and grooving and the choregraphed music video stuff are considered new skool styles. Clowning/crumping and jerking are considered wack, while shuffling is just a brisk running man to electro music. Lol ok enough street dance history

Edit: Damn, umc blue cheese! That brings back memories! Seen some thuggish looking grooving sets done to that song.
