Just found out it doesn't actually matter, since I have over 36,000 miles it won't be covered. Called the dealer and they said that the 60k Powertrain warranty doesn't cover it.

Guess I'll just be ordering one and changing it myself.

Yea when I had like 37,000 they didn't want to touch my car lol

It's an easy job, i needed to buy a 1/4" flex head ratchet to fit in the space to change it.

p0351 is the easiest, you can just take off the fuel injection ECU and reach it fairly easily.

Considering I'm now replacing my engine, I'm going to make sure I replace all the spark plugs and everything's good before I put the used engine I got in. Then I get to break apart my old engine and start the build up for some serious power.

I lucked out on this used engine $2500 with 35K no core charge...

compression test came out 225 on all 4 cylinders...

hmm, on cylinder 1? that's odd. I did. The only thing that was a little difficult for me was getting the socket off after loosening one of the bolts holding the fuel injection ecu on without taking off the fuse box.

CEL P0351 Ignition Coil "A" Primary Control Circuit/Open

I've threw a p0353 code at least 4 times over the past two months. I think it's time to buy some ignition coils.

Just a quick question for all who have already been through the process. I'm looking online and I'm seeing prices ranging all over the place..How much should I actually be paying for one or a set of new coils?

And have you guys been replacing your spark plugs too?

OEM coil packs are about $110 from subaru. Make sure you get the correct one for the model year as they changed in 2015. Plugs are about $22 and I would change them all if you are close to 60k miles and want to get it over with.

Looks like my coil took a dump as well, and it happened while just driving normally on my way to a buddy's wedding. Say we replace the coil pack have any of you done any preventative measure to try to prolong the life of the coils? Heat shielding? What about these guys posted earlier in this thread? Are these more robust than the factory units?

mate I think their was an update to the coil hardware that is better, but I did here that the later cars the actual plug on the coil pack changed, however their was updated coils available for the 2013

I believe the earlier part numbers are check with the parts supplier though all 4 coils same below are revised part numbers
