If you buy a cable on eaby & download techstream, you can disable them yourself.
However why anyone would care is still beyond my comprehension.

But I am one of those bald guys who wonders why the hell anyone would ever want to actually pay for rogaine....
I guess those that care about their DRLs have more vanity than I do.
My car turns heads with or without the DRLs

Unfortunately, we live in a political environment (read: litigious) where individual people cannot take responsibility for their actions. Therefore everything has to "dumby-proofed" for these individuals. Re: LED DRLs. I love them. Audi did it right originally .... then ALL the other manufacturers jumped on this design element and made the LEDs somewhat classless.

With all the stupid large ass SUV's out there.. And everyone texting and making calls.. It can't hurt having the DRL's burning on this little car to be seen..

Didn't think this thread would rear its head up again, but update: I went to the same dealer for crickets and worked with another service tech who turned them off for me no problem. Also enabled the car finder feature

If your auto insurance is giving you a discount on your premium for the DRL and you disable them and get into an accident, you're regret it. The insurance company could possibly deny payment for any claims. I wouldn't do it, or at least remove the DRL discount somehow so they know you don't have them.

The worst offenders of not turning on their lights are those with the electroluminescent gauges - they think just because their gauges are lit up that their headlights are on.

The other prime offenders are those that presume that the car will turn them on for them - too many people being pampered by auto lights and then not realizing that they are not in auto. Is it really so hard to turn a dial on a stalk.

Education is totally key, I always turn on my lights in bad weather. There are too many threads on this forum where people have not seen our cars and they have ended up wrecked, I will take any opportunity to be seen more.
