BMW drivers don't seem to think you can drive fast without heel toeing. I said the same thing you just said over on a BMW forum...and they all thought I was crazy.

+1. Heel-toe is much nicer on the transmission, though.... and you look/sound cool!

Heel-toe-double clutch is even nicer/cooler.

One weekend my dad and I were co-driving the race car (different classes) and we were talking about the technique and different places to find time in the race car while watching each other's video and all of a sudden he paused it and said: "You're only heel-toe rev matching?"

Me: "Yeah, the transmission has functional synchros does it not?"
Him: "I suppose so but I've been double clutching as well."
Me: "So wait, you're heel-toe-double-clutching under thresh hold braking while fighting for position?!"
Him: "Yeah, thought you were too."

I was like:

My dad was 72 years old when made those comments and yes, I still let him race the car.

Needless to say, I've been practicing my heel-toe-double-clutch ever since, because anything he can do, I can do better.

Sorry but this video needs more views. Give the OP something to consider in prep for his next track day at Galuna Sega.

In other words, how were you able to overlay throttle and brake on the same line, while also having speed on another line?

Nice vid! Your driving is very smooth and your lines are great. Looks like you were having a blast. I can't wait to do Laguna Seca sometime in my car!
