It DOESNT HAVE to be taken apart. I did it without opening it.

I pushed it out and used a screwdriver. Maybe I installed it in a way where there's more space between the lid and the passenger seat so I can push it further out than normal.

the caps on the backing of the padding come out, leaving some bolts which can easily be taken out with an allen key. once apart, its super easy to get to those holes

As another member somewhat stated earlier in this thread... No need to remove the cushion.

Before you lay the armrest onto the center console, put those two screws into their respective holes within the armrest frame 1st. They will not drop into the frame holes due to the angle of entry. They will be stuck at an angle. While holding the entire frame in your hand, all you have to do is screw them a few times with your torx screwdriver and they will fall into the frame holes nicely.

Now the 2 screws will already be in the frame holes ready to screw into place for mounting. Easy... no need to remove the cushion.

I just installed mine last night and it looks fantastic! Thank you JPIT! My interior now feels complete.

FYI - My armrest did seem to have a bit of a cosmetic blemish on the center plastic hinge area. The plastic was a sort of rough and a bit more white than black in color at each end of the plastic mould. Since it was just cosmetic and only visible on the passenger side, I didn't really care.

Finally had time to install mine today! Received it about 2 weeks ago from Nigel. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21369091887.172529.jpg

The install was pretty straightforward and easy but I must say that I had some difficulty with the template. Why the 2 pages don't come out of the printer already aligned is strange. I'd suggest to others to just get the initial holes for the studs in the armrest marked out with the template and then using the existing holes in the armrest itself as a guide after getting it lined up. Other than that I couldn't be happier with it! Thanks again Nigel!

Are you sure you printed with the option of "actual size"?

Ya, I unchecked the "fit to page." The lines on the PDF don't even line up perfectly, you have to shift the 2nd page over a little to line up correctly which was strange to me that it doesn't just line the 2 pages up when printing it out. All in all everything worked out fine though so no real complaints

That's because they don't use letter size paper. They use A4 oversea and you'll notice when you print with "actual size" checked, you'll see that some of the top or bottom portion had been cut off. This wouldn't really matter much as long as the dimensions are correct and you can check that by lining up your ruler against the test measurement lines in the center of the template.
