Haha darn it, why did I lift? I should've just gone flat out around the whole track, probably could've broken the 2:00 mark.

In the bonus clip at the end, why'd that guy pass you so close when you were already hugging the outside edge of the track? What. A. Douche.

Yep, and with no point-by in a non-passing zone, on a cool-down lap. He had just caught up to me so I was planning to wave him by in the next passing zone. I had a hard time keeping calm when I got back to the pits.

Man I just found out today one of my best friends is having his bachelor party on May 9th when everyone is doing the track day together. So lame! Looks like I'll have to make it to another one where a decent group will be going.

Any other "coming up" dates that people are doing a Hooked on Driving experience?

I think they allow strippers at the track But seriously, plenty of other chances out there, although track days may slow down with racing season coming.

Well I am out for Buttonwillow. Some family needs help so the cash isn't there right now without stretching farther than I would like when attending something where my car can break.

I will have to catch you guys later this summer. Have fun and stay safe!

Your car won't break anymore on the track than it would driving it on the street.

Im sure it'll prob break more on the street even, but my insurance deductable/warranty coverage is way less on the street. And I go by the idea if I cant afford to bring it home on a trailer then I cant afford to be doing it, so Im staying out of the canyons even. Haha.

I hella want to but its just not the smart thing for me to do right now when the 200-300 dollars I spend doing this could need to go somewhere else very soon.

Well said. I skirt right on that edge as well and have to be mindful of the risks involved. I got this car to track it but it is also my DD and I don't have a bunch of play money to just spend on all of the parts that I desperately want to get. So, I have two choices; make the car more personalized or take it to the track (with track fees, insurance, etc). Thus far, the car is still pretty stock :-)
