I'm in flagstaff (7k), and mine runs great at the altitude.

The cars seem to stumble a little on cold start when it's below 40 degrees out.

If you actually get up into the mountains it gets a little cooler, but Denver itself is pretty hot. I say this as someone who grew up near the ocean in CA where anything over 90 is heatwave weather and high 70's - low 80's is much more common. When I came to Denver in August a couple of years ago it was over 95F every day for the better part of a week. I was very glad to have a window-AC unit in my bedroom!

More on-topic, how much time do these cars usually take to warm up in normal winter-y temperatures (~15-40F)?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you live in Florida... what the heckl you talking about "Cold"

Also, not clear on ow this could be; the computer and O2 sensors monitor the air going in and the exhaust coming gout. Then the ratio is adjusted accordingly. Would negate the cold air tubes also.

Cold air is denser. Same with low-altitude air. The denser the charge air the more fuel can be injected while maintaining the same mixture of fuel to air.

At least that's how my amateur ass understands it.

Also keep in mind during the hot summers the air quality isn't as good. Engines don't like sucking in a lot of Ozone (O3).

Yeah Florida "cold" may not seem like much.

Twice in the past two days since making this thread, my car has had a tough time starting. It would crank for like 2 seconds before finally turning over. Has me kind of worried.. :O

Other than that, once everything is warmed up, the car runs great.

Its strange that you say that because my car just did the same thing for the very first time. Man, cold Florida days lol.

And yes, the colder air does make a huge difference down here. We're already at sea level so having intake temps 30-40 degrees below normal with the dense, cool air is like night/day in these cars. I've been having fun driving in the cooler weather cause I know it's not gonna last...

XD Good to hear. I'm worried it'll feel like my Eclipse did up there... High 13 low 14 car in Tucson/Phoenix... Probably almost or over 15 in CSP
