I hate any leather on my car seats. Premium seats all the way!

all the people saying that they hate leather haven't sat in the Limited seat then its not smooth leather like a Lexus or something and it doesn't get hot/cold in the summer/winter

And I know exactly what Alacantara is. I looked/touched the seats in Limited they had on the lot. I just don't like that feeling. Also, I really need a key and an ignition to be as close to the stearing column as possible. Call me old fashioned! Anyway, I think we could probably /thread with this: Quote:

I agree. Leather is hot in the Summer, cold in the Winter, and creases like crazy. In an area that's cold leather seats need to be heated. With cloth it's a luxury, but not a necessity.
Besides, cheaper cars don't get the 'good' top grain leather anyway. The Alcantara seats of the Limited don't necessarily have all the downsides listed above, but the bolsters do. |

Limited guys won't need to carry a lint brush in the glove box, at least. The bolsters on the Premiums are gonna be a big fat trap for dust, lint, and my wife's hair!

I chose the Premium because of (in this order): No spoiler, no keyless entry/start, and the cloth seats. The cloth seats felt better, IMO looked better, and simply felt like they would hold up better in the long term. I'm sure I could be wrong on the durability, but it was my takeaway from interacting with the material. Plus, the Limited has a bit of extra weight in it due to all the additional creature comforts. I bought a small, cheap sports car. I didn't feel that the Alcantara inserts added anything to the experience. That's my preference - you're free to have yours. |

I've sat in a Limited and was a bit disappointed with the leather/alcantara seats. The leather felt kind of thin imo. I do like how they look and hold you in the seat so I'm fine with both the limited or premium seat.
I think Subaru should have differentiated the seats with a different style making the Limited more appealing over the Premium. Like RS5 style seats... |
