Yeah, but this was agift from my husband lol....he relly make a lot of searches on the different types of exhaust and thought this one was the best for the sound (I didn't want something too loud) and its conception.

I don,t think Takeda is a bad company and I hope they will do something.....shit can hapen, I just want to make sure it is not all their exhausts

This being said, the Nameless exhaust is relly nice!

Time to change husband Trish, I would have bought you a Perrin like I did for mine. hahahaha

HAHAHAHA! St-Hubert is in Quebec, Canada, but the temperature is pretty much the same (-15/-20 and we have received around 40-60cm of snow since the begining of winter)

Funny though, I have lived in Canada my entire life and I swear the "aboot" thing was totally made up so there could be something quirky to stereotype Canadians for comedic purpose. I have seriously NEVER hear anyone with that accent. We almost all speak with the exact English dialect that newscasters on any major US network use. I'd call it North American "neutral" since by most people's standards it isn't a regional dialect but the universally accepted dialect for media, etc... probably the second most standard English accent next to the Brits.

Here is the typical Canadian accent I hear:

(spoken by 2 hosers in lumber jackets in Muskoka Ontario) " Yup, me and Doug seen you up at the beer store this mornin'. Gonna be up at the cotteege this weekend, eh? Like I said, goin' up to the coteege, eh. "

I have a concern question for all aftermarket Exhausts out there. How it handle the water from the water hose wash and rain water coming to the outlet tips? Those low pipes down there must need drain holes for water to escape otherwise it will be all rusty !

My SRT is all good. Saw the pipes in their shop when I went to pick mine up and they had stainless stamped right on them, tips too.

I've noticed this too.

My first Takeda exhaust rusted pretty bad after 3 weeks on the car. That one was sent back under warranty for a fitment issue (left side tip about 2" further out than the right side) and the replacement one started to develop the same surface rust after about a month.

I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the one long outlet pipe that snakes around from the passenger side.

I plan on buying one of the "diffuser" knockoffs showing up now to help hide it for now. I plan on looking at the new nameless setup as a later replacement.

It's a shame, because I love the way it sounds.

Ouch, that's supposed to be 304 Stainless Steel all the way through the pipe, right? If so, it looks like it's badly contaminated. Hit a spot with a non-abrasive sponge and some cleanser on it, just to see if it comes off.

You guys use salt on the roads up there to melt ice?

EDIT: I'm not exactly sure, but the marketing material for the Takeda exhaust only indicate using 304SS for the tips. This probably means they're using 409SS or worse for the rest of the system. 400-series stainless with a lot of road salt will definitely end up with rust over time. 300-series stainless should not, unless it's contaminated with some iron on the surface which you can clean off.

You're correct. My tips are fine (if heavily blackened with carbon). The rest of the piping is fairly rusted and they've salted the hell out of the roads in the Northeastern US this winter.

Takeda just answered me.

They tell it's "normal" as they use stainless 409 (or an other way to say cheap stainless?). They suggest me to clean this mess myself.

As for the loss, if it is diagnostized, they will replace the parts that will need to be replace, that's all.

I'll try to contact them myself again to argue with them, but I think I will get stuck with a rusty exhaust.
