And this engine that is up inside of the mighty BRZ\FR-S\86, is not like the old Subaru engines. Toyota did have some say up in it.

A valve issue. May have thrown a rocker if you spun it too high. Not knowing your rev limit that's my guess.

Toyota has some of the best warranty service I've ever seen. Dunno if of you have heard of the vo6 service campaign for the 3vzfe v6 but Toyota is still replacing engines over 20 years later. How's that for service?

The regional Subaru rep here told me to turbo mine. He knew it was being tracked that weekend too.

Saw his block yesterday when I went in to warranty some tail lights and It looked as if the piston cracked and allowed the compression ring to slip past the top of the piston at least that's what it looked like to my buddy and I! Hope it gets fixed soon it's a beautiful car that needs to be on the track!

could mean anything at this point. Could be a long time before we get a good reason that comes around. VVT/head problems, defective piston (you never know), detonation/not tuned well enough, spark plug failing, anything..guess we will all find out tomorrow.

They're attempting to isolate the root cause of the chirping sounds from the fuel pump, I would guess. The community has all but confirmed it's the ethanol content since it's not present in all cars (just those of us without access to ethanol-free fuel).
