I just got it, it's completely stock. When I try to install from the play store it says I don't have enough space. It's got a gig free and copilot only takes up around 50MB before you download offline maps. Was hoping I can move it to the ext sd card I have in it (32GB).
And so it starts...

I had the same problem with my radio - there is no partition for the onboard memory so the internal SD is missing as far as the app is concerned.
I have found a way around it to make the system see the external SD as internal but you need to be rooted.

EDIT:
I was just looking and can't find my files in Dropbox. Can't remember where or what but there was a file specifying the mounting points. What you need to do is point both locations to the external SD card.

They are going to run ICS on a single core 800 Mhz cpu? Not sure how I feel about that....

My old HD2 doesn't seem to enjoy anything above Gingerbread.

It should be a full upgrade - hopefully to an Freescale iMX6 Quad and a capacitive screen.

So if you buy now, you're still stuck to 2.3 and 800 Mhz...

Yup - but at least we know there will be an updated model this year. I may wait on it....though this stock head unit is completely destroying my sound. Maybe I'll buy a knock-off and switch when the new model unit comes out.

Funny enough my Parrot is also 2.3.7 and 800mhz but it's a lot more responsive than the 4.01 Dual 1GHZ radio it replaced.

I think the dual core is misunderstood. One core runs WinCE the other runs Android.

Ah okay, makes sense. A bit silly of them saying it's dual core but I guess there are 2 inside the radio so technically it's correct.

Ok, this is idea is in a slightly different direction, but has anyone considered an AppRadio unit with one of the Android on a stick devices like the iMito MX1 or MX2? They run Android 4.1, 1.6Ghz Cortex A9 Processor, 1GB RAM, and just plugs into the HDMI port. The only stumbling block I can foresee is how do you pass touch screen input back to the OS? It seems that if the unit supports the SPP bluetooth profile you could pair it to the headunit and it just might work.

Has anyone tried or considered this option already? Here's a link to one of the devices I'm talking about if you're not familiar:

I tried with an MK808, but ARLiberator didn't always auto sync with the head unit. At that point you're dead in the water without a wireless kb/ms.

Ah, gotcha. Makes sense. What were your impressions of the unit when ARliberator did sync properly?

It functioned the same as on the TV. Not a bad little dongle. The EVO 3D was a little smoother, though.
