Ouch. Guess I can start looking at the Ca-Fi Dashlinq 695800. I can stomach $649 if it's solid.

In the teaser video they actually have Torque installed!

Also the screen appears to be capacitive and the UI looks really slick...

PLEAAAAASE make a universal model with red LED's!

Enjoy:

This looks real good. Very fluid & responsive.

The supplier has responded to my questions about whether this unit http://www.xtrons.com/GPS-car-dvd/6....er-TD610A.html will communicate with the OBD2 or OB-LINK or can be rooted by saying
"I feel sorry to tell you that our TD610A doesn't support the functions you need."

I had a WinCE based unit that looked identical. It had motorized faceplate issues. It would keep the faceplate motor running whenever I shut the car off haha.

The Dashlinq uses multi-touch and comes pre-installed with Torque apparently. Shame it's not capacitive

Guess I should have looked a bit deeper. If it does multi-touch,then it has to be capactive. I have a message in to Ca-fi to verify the exact specifications. If it is capacitive, I'll eat $650 to try it out.
