The speed holes on them look different for one; the STI arms that is.

Lateral Link Drawing Basically STI is selling the lateral and trailing links separately while TRD is selling them together.

I got these in and LOVE THEM.
Keep in mind ALL of my other bushings are replaced with pillowball or a few poly bushings. So this was VERY much the missing link(pun intended). Imagine everything under there is stiff and then the weak link is the trailing arm bushing. We swapped it out in about 10 mins and went for a few serious corners and transitions are where you feel this ONCE you have all the other bushings replaced. I also have tires, sways and 400 lb springs on T2's. Very happy with this. Good to see they released this because now maybe more people will be inclined to do lateral arms and trailing arms like we did back in the GD STI days( 2004 era). I will say that once you swap ALL suspension bushings on this car and then drive a STOCK car, or even a lowered car with springs and sways BUT all stock bushings, there is a MAJORLY HUGE difference to be felt. PERIOD. No way around that. these trailing arms were literally my missing link. Myles |

Ummmm... What practical difference would there be between getting these and replacing the oem bush with an aftermarket bush?

Don't quite understand the question. These ARE aftermarket (since STI is just their in house aftermarket division).

Correct but they are an arm plus bush/bearing. My question (which was answered above) was why not just replace the the standard/original bush with a higher durometer aftermarket bush.
