There will be a drive this Saturday morning for sure... I am leaning towards Mines Rd to Mt. Hamilton. I will probably take the MR2 as my BRZ is weeping oil and parts are on order. If anyone has route suggestions though I'm open.

It's a slow leak from the triangular plate near the rear pass side of the motor. common problem here but it took some persuading at the Subie dealer today to convince them it was actually a leak. They spent about 5 min trying to tell me that 4 previous cars had come in for similar problem and that it was excess Cosmoline on the exhaust/engine parts that was burning off, that a simple wipe would remove it and all would be good. I kindly advised that I had wiped the area clean before and then found more oil leaking from the same spot, so then they had a tech come out and confirm that it was oil before agreeing to order the parts (a replacement plate)... stay tuned, parts should come in next week.

I think @Cjymiller has a route planned for us for the July 13 Canepa design meet & drive. Chris let us know if you need help scouting/planning that route.

If someone wants to suggest a new route for our Sat July 6 DRIVE I'm all ears.

For this Saturday June 29th DRIVE I am thinking Mines Rd or Tesla. Let's plan to meet at the Starbucks in Livermore @ 7AM. Roll out by 7:15 AM.

Starbucks Coffee
2050 Portola Ave, Livermore, CA ‎

also I have some leftover 86 DRIVE shirts - let me know if anyone is interested in buying one. Just a few left in M, L, XL. And some decals. I will bring them to the DRIVE if anyone wants to get one there.

What about the Starbucks off Vasco instead? Seems like a more direct shot down to Mines since you don't have to go through slow ass downtown Livermore with all the stoplights.

And damn you love the early starts!

I was gonna make the suggestion of doing a loop of Patterson pass and Tesla rd. but that would be pretty short (~40mins tops). Here's my suggestion (adding Morgan Territory and Vasco):

I'm iffy to join this Sat (spent my brownie points on karting lol) and definitely won't make it 7/6 but hope to join you guys for Canepa, you guys have fun!

I could actually make it this weekend too! I think. So Patterson Tesla loop plus something is what i was talking to p and jesse about after you all left. I had thought add Mines and the Jct but this route looks cool to me

Yeah I was trying to figure out how to work Tesla & Patterson into the route, them being so short and all... brilliant! OK so we'll try your proposed route B.
