Sweet! I am seriously itching for a drive. I filled up with 94 octane last week and have been wasting it on commuting. Sadly not gonna be waking up early this Saturday though since I've been waking up at 5am every day this week

Last month, I stared from Berkeley (Philz Coffee run) to SJ (thru Hamilton) took about ~3hrs non-stop and about half tank. I was going to add Calaveras but someone had woken up wanted her Philz.

yeah definitely a day's worth of great driving roads... possibly all the best roads the East Bay has to offer.

I've done something similar (on a weekday when I had the day off) in the past. Definitely recommend that over doing it on a Saturday to avoid the bulk of the traffic. On a weekday there is virtually no one on Mines most of the way. If you're just doing it solo it's a great relaxing drive, you can stop here and there, take in the scenery, take pics, etc. If you do it and write something up like a photo essay, I'd be happy to host it up on 86DRIVE.

Cool yeah I have a few Fridays off coming up so I might try it on one of those days.

I would love to do a writeup about the drive and experience on these amazing roads. I actually have a Samsung 720/1080p camcorder I need to start using. I want to get some sort of dash/headrest mount for it and start recording my drives.

Set one up! Just because the main organizers aren't available mean there can't be one. You guys have been to a couple so you know what to expect. Set-up a time & meeting place, details on the planned route and Plato, Jessie, Chris or I will update the 86Drive site with the info. You know our schepeel: Be safe, be courteous and have fun. Oh, and bring fr-s radios for comm!

Well I'm not sure whats a great place to meet it wouldnt matter to me. However I know I plan to drive on Saturday. I plan to go exploring Will I know the way you ask? Maybe I'm horrible with directions. I see wherever the road takes me is what I'm going to do. The time well I was thinking early in the morning 7AM or 7:30AM or 8AM I figure nice and early be nice to get some fresh air and the day is cool and not so hot.

Meet up location: Plaza Del Roble Shopping Center

Starbuck would been the spot I choose for others that enjoy their coffee morning. It has a small parking lot. So I aint sure how many are going.

If anyone is up for it just talk about it. Overall, I'm itching to take a spin where the road takes me and perhaps I may go explore on some roads if I happen to solo. I was thinking summit rd maybe to see what its looking like.

I was thinking of taking 1 to 35 all the way to 9 then down towards SC and probably back up 1 for scenic view. 7/8am is a little too early. If anything I'll just do the cruise with my cousin around 10-11ish when we're wide awake.
