I was actually thinking about driving up to Palo Alto-ish on Saturday and trying out the roads toward the hills west of 280.

Probably nothing too crazy but just to check things out and do a nice long drive.

Highway 84 is nice but has a lot of traffic if you don't show up early. I was there last weekend and there's a section that's a single lane for both directions since one side of the road washed away.
