Yeah sorry to everyone who missed it, it was indeed short notice. I blame @Pwolf whose video sparked my craving for a drive. I had planned to go to the SV Auto Show but I'd take a drive over a show any day.

We met up at Rudy's Donuts or technically we parked across from it at Blvd Burger. Just 3 of us this time. Ironically we all skipped the donuts and set off up Redwood Rd and Pinehurst. Fog was still fairly thick as you can see in our videos so we took it easy and encountered quite a few cyclists. After that we returned to CV for breakfast at Doug's Place. Over breakfast we talked about higher octane fuel so we decided to take Palomares Rd out to Sunol and get some 100 octane mixed into our tanks. And of course we had to do further testing so we set course for Livermore and took Mines Rd out to the Junction. Some bad news we discovered along the way... Mines Rd is still very gravelly and not as fun as it used to be. Traffic was light though. At the Junction we popped in to say hi to our hosts of the EOS BBQ, Dan and Mashelle, and found out that the large wonderful tree that provided so much shade during our BBQ, fell as a casualty of the big storm in December and even damaged some of their picnic tables. Come summertime the loss of that tree (and its shade) will be missed. Thankfully the Junction itself is still going strong. After a break there we split our separate ways, and I took the very scenic and less gravelly Del Puerto Canyon Rd home.

(Sorry, I hate all that sensationalist media crap that websites pull these days, using that kind of language on just about every posting -- so of course I had to use it)
Ahw that sucks! At least the camera survived

@SLEEPER WRX Bob, I'm curious how was the condition of the Mt. Hamilton road on the way back from the Junction?

Very nice, as it turns out, the gravel stops at the Junction, and not only that, there are miles of fresh, black, new, smooth asphalt ! This is all before the Hamilton Summit. The road down to SJ from the top is fine.

Here's a short clip of our Sunday drive from a Kodak PixPro SP360. It's a unique perspective that gives you a 360 degree look around the cabin. There are other video modes that I'll try in future videos.

Damn, even with more notice, no drive for me again (already made plans). I think I'll do my regular Redwood rd. lunch time loop this Fri to make up for it. Anybody care to join?
