Canadian vehicles often get winter aids not included or only optional in US models. In the case of the twins, we get heated side mirrors as standard equipment on all FR-S and BRZ variants.

I don't think I've ever had a car with the indicator, but then again I just never let it get low. With the salt on the roads here I would not be able to get 10 feet without the stuff, so I check it often and refill it if I know I used a lot.

I see you have an 07. No idea about the mkv but the mkvi was standard.

For whatever reason if it's disabled, it can be enabled with VAGCOM.

if it's "diabetic" pee,it's no good! too much "sugar!" negates the ammonia!

I'm a "car guy" and I don't check always. Sorry but your theory is flawed.

Subarus traditionally do not have washer fluid indicators. I have seen the complaint more than once. I just check it every once in awhile.

Judging by how huge the washer fluid res is on these cars I'm not sure I'll need to fill mine for a good 4 or 5 years...

Yeah being in FL you're probably pretty safe! lol

During the winter here I'll go through 2-3 full bottles.
