Many have really expensive cars next to their Twin. The twin is the "fun car that they aren't afraid to mod and race".

The Miata forums is the same...

And yes, many are older dudes trying to get on the Alfa Romeo 4c waiting list.

BTW the cost for a 4c is 60k EURO.

its about a .75 conversion rate now....

1$ = .75 Euro

And don't forget taxes and the fact they are only 500 coming to the US...

So yeah...they will be $100k...

Its really not being an asshole or anything it's just there are a LOT of guys whether it be on the forum or who we (including myself) know have a shit ton of money and wanted this car despite having a Porsche or Vette

I know of one guy on the forum who owns a S63AMG and Lotus and just happened to buy a BRZ for the kicks, or another who casually dumped 15k+ into a 10 series before the car even came... simply because he wanted everything TRD (both who have the pics to prove it and go to meets all the time)

It's a cheap sports car, i don't find it surprising that wealthy people buy them to drive them to hell and back rather than their 100k+ Porsche or benz

Depends...

It's that price in Euro due to taxes and tariffs. If you'll notice the BRZ is about 27k US and 27K Euro respectively.

Most sources are saying it will be ~60k US. However that absolutely doesn't take into account the markup for overwhelming demand. I have no doubt there will be some people that will spend $100k for one stateside.

with only 500 coming to the states....? you better be bringing 60k in a suitcase if you want to pay anywhere near that number lol. This thing is easily going to be 75-80k+ with mark up, let alone with options

Six month wait reported thus far. Some rumors say 500 units the first year, some say 1,000 per year for the U.S. All I know is, if it does come in under $60k MSRP, I want one in a couple years. I want one bad!!! This is the one car I would replace the BRZ with. And the MR2, because there really won't be a point in having two red mid-engine cars under 2500lbs in the stable.

Well...how about waiting until the next gen MX5 come ?

They are hands in hands developing them, if I am not wrong. The next Mazda should be hell of fun, and fast.

The next Alfa/Mazda won't have the same performance, and will be a convertible. Also, I want an Alfa built in Italy, not a Mazda with Alfa badging.
