You are correct. But the 4C carries more with just the price tags.

1/ Hand Assembly
2/ Carbon Fiber Chasis
3/ Dual Dry Clutch Transmission
4/ under 250HP
5/ Limited Production
6/ Well...a Brand
7/ Super Car Look

Anways, BRZ or FRS Limited is running around 28k or so. That is like 1/2 the price, but FT86 doesn't use Exotic Materials.

For a while, I thought Affordable, under 250HP = FT86 as the King. It just changed.

4C is very Affordable Super-Car. You will not find any other Super-Car at this price point. It is made to compete to Ferrari 458

So buy the 4C and be happy with it? I disagree that this is what the twins should have been. They're a mass-produced revival of the affordable sports car. The Alfa is a pseudo-exotic, like the Lotus Elise. It's not a new concept, just a more modern application of technology.

But hey, if you'd have no problem spending fifty grand on one of the twins, there's plenty of aftermarket to make it exactly what you want it to be.

I know eventually I'll hvae over 50k in it, and I'm fine with that. I would rather buy a car I can put my personal touch on and not feel bad about flogging the crap out of it, than a limited run vehicle that I'd be afraid to get dirty and modify.

One of the best parts about modifying cars is, years later, going "Holy shit I've spent HOW much?!"

It won't compete with the 458. Not even close.

That having been said, I agree that it's very affordable for a composite chassis, hand-assembled sports car (I have a hard time calling it a super car, at least until I know a lot more about it). However, it's not an affordable car, in the grand scheme of things. The BRZ is. They were built for different purposes, at different price points, so I really don't see the point of comparing the two. That's like me saying that the 911 Turbo is what the STi should have been, since they're both all wheel drive and turbocharged.
