I feel like such an old fashioned old man even though I'm in my early 20's. Certain things I honestly don't care for when it comes to cars.

The FRS is an 86...a low-spec 86 with the leather steering wheel and the white tach. Everything else is the same.

The only thing different between the FRS and the BRZ premium is that you get Navigation and HIDS in the BRZ.

Some of us really wanted a High-Spec FRS. We will get it eventually. Probably in a release series.

I am not sweating it, but I want Scion to know I was willing to pay for the options.

I still think the car is awesome...but if its $25k..its overpriced.

I like a little tech in my cars...just a bit...the Toyota 86 High-Spec had the right about of tech.

But hey Scion is all about the bang for the buck...

Thanks trip, you just proved my point completely.

No he didn't.

He's saying:
1. If the base car cost $25K it's overpriced (which is an opinion I share)
2. If Scion offers the options he's willing to pay for them (which I also agree with)
3. He wanted a GT86/86 High Spec originally, which he can not get (I actually agree with this too)

None of that proved your point that people want the high spec now without having to pay for it. He is willing to pay for it but also thinks the magazine estimates for the FR-S we are getting (which is mostly a low spec) for 25k is way too much.

That's what I'm trying to prove....

why don't you and Trip and all the people come into IIRC and talk to me about it, I have Guff with me and we're definitely ready to talk about it without Jacking the thread.

Personally the only problem I have with the start-key issue is that even a Nissan Versa has the option for keyless entry along with the push button start. -_-

So what exactly is your point then?

Earlier it was that people want everything without paying and now it's people are willing to pay for everything?

I'm not sure if I'm confused or you...

I can completely understand if the BRZ is $25k+ with all the features it comes with..just not the FR-S.

Wait for the damn NAIAS in Janurary! I pity the fool!

Jeez, sit the hell down and relax. Choosing a car because it doesnt have a button but requires so much more effort PFF. Stop complaining. Did we forget the point of the car? I hate the fact its infecting all the Scion threads. This is the only acceptable one, because its main topic is about a damn button!

We should be thanking Toyota/Subaru/Yamaha for even doing this, and making a car that hasnt had a major complaint on ANY review!

The point was

Scion is bang for the buck, if it's 25k it's overpriced. If you want things like push start you're going to have to pay for it, it wont be standard. It's likely an accessory. If you want something like an 86 Wait for a Release series.

I was in IIRC with alot of people and everyone agrees with this statement Trip made.

yeah snoopy is right too, everyone is sick of the complainers and the FRS interior. Most are pretty happy with the car already, even the big magazine reviewers.

Exactly, if you want options pay for it. Period. I rather get HID's, better seats and nicer HVAC, if possible, than push to start IMHO. I hope they have individual stuff rather than packages.

I thought you were argueing with Trip instead of agreeing with him. Nevermind..

Subaru and Toyota will probably pull another "We so sorry, no pricing!" in january..

No one is going out of their way to complain. Are you guys reading the same threads that I am? Maybe not, I stopped reading some of the threads in here after the "what will you be bumpin" thread was started. I honestly do see way more people and posts complaining about the complaining than I do the original complaining itself. Clear as mud?

Oh and to go off topic ( ) Yamaha's involvement has yet to be proven or even official stated for the production car as far as I know
