It allows me to have just one set of keys. It's bad to have a really heavy keychain hanging from the ignition, it wears down over time from the extra weight. So I have my car key separate from my house keys.

Also, I've grown spoiled to cars that never require you to take your keys out. So much more convenient. Of course, that'd mean it'd need to have the sensor thingy on the doors.

Pushing the button just feels more satisfying than turning the key. Purely subjective. Having to turn the key and push start = epic fail (S2k)

Sure it'd be nice to have the GT86/86 version here as I do prefer the FR-S/86 front end and do prefer bits of the "luxury" (I use that term jokingly, even with the extra features luxurious is something that this interior is not) interior...

Those who want it standard with the 86 front end are understandable IMO. Scion is failing, but I guess no one at ToMoCo ever thought that maybe it's BECAUSE of the business model? If I were ToMoCo (and Subaru allowed it) I'd absolutely offer two levels just like Subaru is doing. I'd get MORE buyers, not less. I wouldn't care about what I've done in the past when it clearly hasn't been greatly successful.

Now those who want everything, and CF roofs, and blah blah blah for 22k.. well you just ignore those people as they clearly don't understand how a business works.
Exactly. I'm sure a lot of people would want HIDs and "push button start" to be options to the Scion package. I'm not even talking about the LED daytime lights, I just want better than halogen.

I would be willing to pay the base BRZ price for those two things. As I don't like the BRZ front end and don't care about heated seats, leather, climate control (as much).

The TRD parts list, sticky'd here suggests almost everything as an option and I hope that carries over to the Scion models too.

eh they were assigning, new work cars this morning at my work place at first I thought I was going to get assigned a Subaru Outback. But it turned out Foresters started to come in this morning instead. So I drove the turbo and I didn't like it, maybe its because it was an Auto and I don't ever drive small SUV. So I chose the NA manual car instead. It's quite amazing how much you can throw that big thing around. I had so much more fun with it. I feel safe this winter as this will be the first time I have 4WD in DC winter XD !

This is my first Subaru, not even mine but as a work car I got to pay to insure it so it's in my name. Still I dunno... I have my doubts with turbo. Subaru or not. It wasn't that Impressive like people were saying it would be.

see you just started a turbo debate...... because turbo is the win you haid a failbaru because it was auto. i'd take a manual N/A car over an automatic turbo anyday (below a 40K price tag that is)

Key less entry and ignition are of great convenience. These features are not essential to a sports car or any car for that matter, but once you get used to not having to dig out the key from your pocket and inssert it into a slot to start the car, it becomes such a useful convenience that not having it is missed. It will not take away from the goodness of the driving of the car but it will take away from the ease of getting in and driving off.
