True, I should have said "Based on the rumors so far..."

But the point still stands.. based on what we think we know, that is a true enough statement.. I can't see all that many people bothering to dash/windshield mount a phone on a car with nav included.

I look at all the other Scions and they are all well equipped. Its actually amazing at how much standard equipment you get in the tC.

Just give me the option to pay for what I want.

But Scion thanks for making this car.

I have had Toyota Smartkeys on an IS250, IS350, and my RX. Let me tell you how nice it is to walk up to the car and have it unlock by just grabbing the door handle with my hands full of groceries in 25 degree weather or in the rain. Frankly, this convenience is nice on any car, be it a 55k Lexus or an 25k Scion. Most of you will do 99% of your driving on the street, where creature comforts are certainly not a detriment.

This. If the 1/4lb difference really matters to you, don't wear socks.

Not all premium options are fluff, calm down and think a little. Some people want these type options, they are not dumb because they do.
Wow, someone being reasonable.

Toyota and Subaru should have thought about that when making this car. I guess they kinda did considering the Scion/Toyota is more of a drivers car and the Subaru is a point A to B car......

Yea I said it, /thread

Nav, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, carpet, floor mats, smart key optional...

Any other arguments you want me to invalidate?

I've had keyless entry/push start on a couple of previous motors and it is a blessing..
i have half that at the moment with my weekend toy, S2000 (that alot of you seem to want with button AND key?!), and whilst pushing the start button is nice.. it feels silly because ive already gone through the polava of having to fish out my keys, button press, find the key slot.. a bit silly really.

Key less entry/push start is awesome, whilst freezing locks isnt something i worry about, it rains alot in the UK.. and as above having the door or boot unlock for me when i put my hand to open is a blessing.. no having to fish around for bl**dy keys when my hands are full with shopping etc.

ordered my GT86 fully loaded, smart entry / dual zone A/C is standard in uk, but also got the Navi, heated seats and flappy paddles coming .. CANNOT WAIT! .. whilst a bare min spec may be 1/4sec quicker round the track as its fractionally lighter .. i'll be the one saving precious seconds getting in to the car and out of sight before many have even found the keys!

Congrats! That's how I would spec my car, but with the 6 speed manual and no Navi. Navi is too much tech bro! LOL!

But I like your setup, it's a drivers car setup!

The S2000 had a messed up version of the Start Button. The new cars have no keys. The FRS version has no keys and you just walk up to the car and it auto unlocks and you get it and you press the start button to start the car. Now how cool and freaking convenient is that?

This and the Auto AC is the only high tech that is in the car. (I ain't counting the optional Navigation system) Just perfect and still a drivers car.

A poor mans LFA....the FRS\BRZ\86 is...:happy0180:

It has not been confirmed that the FRS will be getting Smart Keys at all. From what we've seen, they'll only be available on the BRZ Limited, which is significantly more expensive than an entry level FRS. However, this is all speculation.
